Submission Guidelines
The Bathyspheric Review is an electronic journal carrying fine poetry devoted to oceanic themes and imagery. Founded on a deep desire to celebrate the world's oceans, waves and beaches through poetry, we do not restrict our content to naturalism, but only request that it explores the imagery of the shore, the tidal zone, the impact zone, the surface, the mid-water, the deep.
We suggest to all who submit that they read our journal before submitting their work to acquaint themselves with material The Bathyspheric Review has published. We will consider select high-quality fiction, but the same standards will apply. Not a word out of place. Artwork and photographs are also considered. They should be saved as jpegs or gifs, compressed and sent as zip files or mailed to the address below.
The Bathyspheric Review comes out twice a year - April 1st and October 1st. Submission deadlines fall two weeks before each issue’s date of publication.

All submissions must be in English and previously unpublished. Translations are acceptable and should be accompanied by a copy of the original text. Simultaneous submissions are also acceptable, so long as we are notified immediately if the manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere. A cover letter is not necessary.
