Welcome to the
Dayn Schulman Poetry Archive

Dayn Schulman (1971-2006) was a peaceful warrior, a startling and gifted spirit, an iconoclast, a lover, a tremendous surfer and waterman, a wildman, an insightful and patient human, a musician, a holy goof, and in the end, something of a mystery to even his best friends.

He was also a poet who wrote consistently and took a great deal of pride in the craft. To honor his amazing soul and to perhaps better understand the dramatic way he chose to leave this planet, his poetry has been compiled in this archive. Alternately deeply spiritual, heartbreakingly romantic and grotesquely surreal, Dayn's poetry reflects his intense and mercurial life. To read it is to remember what a beautiful, bizarre experience it was just hanging out with him. Many of these poems were addressed directly to the love of his life, Shannon Murphy, and the deep love he felt for her is evident in them.
